Top story: Cision acquires Gorkana in £200m deal

Like many news outlets, The Guardian has reported on the £200m purchase of Gorkana by Cision. The acquisition is the latest by the company, which recently spent £278m on Vocus as part of an expansion strategy by owner, US private equity firm, GTCR.

Hootsuite launches global agency partner program to educate PR teams on social media strategies

A new program aimed at helping PR teams collaborate on social media strategies was launched on Wednesday by the social media management platform, Hootsuite. The company will provide firms participating in the program with access to a suite of tools and take part in works on improving social business practices and trends.

Coca-Cola appoints new CMO

Global soft drink company, Coca-Cola has unveiled Marcos De Quinto has its new chief marketing officer. De Quinto, the current vice president of the company’s Europe Group, replaces Joe Tripodi who is retiring after seven years in the role.
