Top story: FleishmanHillard loses Emirates UK consumer brief

FleishmanHillard has lost its account with the airliner Emirates after an unsuccessfully re-pitching for the work. The company secured the contract two years ago and was worth a six-figure sum for the agency.

Christmas arrives as John Lewis unveils its festive advert

Penguins. After watching snowpeople get into the festive spirit and an animated rabbit and bear settle down to enjoy a Keane cover by Lily Allen, John Lewis has unveiled its Christmas advert for 2014 featuring Monty the Penguin. Scheduled to make TV debut on Channel 4 this evening, Monty’s adventure is already making a splash on social media, trending high on Twitter and beyond.
