Bell Pottinger Group MD: AirAsia CEO provides “lesson in crisis management”

Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia, which recently lost a plane over the festive season with the loss of more than 160 passengers and crew, has given a “less in crisis management” since the disaster, according to Bell Pottinger’s group  managing director, David Wilson.

Writing in PR Week, Fernandes’ positioning as focal point for company updates during the aftermath of the loss of flight QZ8501, and his recognition of the bereaved throughout, underlined the message that both he and his company cared greatly for both its staff and customers.

Local recruiter appoints new marketing and communications executive

Aspire Cambridge has announced the appointment of Julie Stigwood as the company’s new marketing and communications executive. The local HR and recruitment agency made the announcement in Cambridge Network, which aims to encourage collaboration and partnership among the city’s high-tech companies.
