Vacancy One – Communications Specialist – 6-9 month contract
Type: In-House
Salary: £44,000+
Location: Peterborough

Operating on a global scale in 10 countries and employing upwards of 40,000 people, this organisation is a truly international company that are offering a rare opportunity for a communications specialist to join them on an interim basis.

Reporting directly to the Communications Manager your responsibilities will be heavily focused towards internal communications from both a strategic and operational perspective where you will be required to review and develop the internal communications strategy, channel and activities in order to help shape and deliver a progressive internal communications plan whilst ensuring consistency of corporate messages. One of the many exciting aspects of the role is that you will be fully exposed to senior personnel within the businesses and as such will also be required to develop a close relationship with the Global Leadership Team.

As well as being responsible for the more high profile and strategic aspects of the internal communications function, and because this is an all encompassing role, the Communications Specialist must be equally effective and comfortable when carrying out some of the more mundane day-to-day responsibilities, as well as supporting the Communications Manager. Due to this, the ability to be flexible and adapt where required is essential as is the ability to work autonomously and not be reliant on using external agencies.

This role would suit an experienced communications professional with a proven track record of success, preferably from within a B2B environment, however skill-set and previous experience are more important than sector background. You will be required to manage internal stakeholders as though they were external, therefore you will need to have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills as well as emotional intelligence in order to deal with these individuals effectively. It goes without saying, therefore, that you will also need to be an excellent relationship builder, ambitious, well organised and with strong communication skills to boot!

Vacancy Two – Digital PR Coordinator
Type: In-House
Salary: £25,000 – £34,999
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced PR professional with knowledge of an online or digital environment to join a leading multi-channel retail organisation. This successful and growing company are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who has a great knowledge of a wide range of all media including online such as the digital landscape and also social media platforms, as well as print. With 3 years experience in a PR position who have excellent communication and planning skills with the ability to work to an organised and efficient timeline. You have the skills needed to ‘sell’ stories into publications whilst building and strengthening media relationships daily.

As the Digital PR Coordinator you will have one direct report, but you will also be working closely with the wider team in order to develop and deliver PR and social media campaigns. You will take the lead of identifying compelling PR stories to generate consumer and media interest. With excellent organisational skills you will coordinate and manage all relevant internal and external PR material including press releases, advertorials and social content generation.
